The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced VP of Product
Management and Marketing to formulate overall strategy, determine
product direction and grow revenue for the company’s flagship
product line. Direct reports include approximately 20 individuals
responsible for product marketing, product management, usability
and business development. Expanded team leadership includes 50+
individuals.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
· Strategy – Defining and driving product line strategies
for company’s key software product line
· P&L responsibilities – Manage marketing, product
marketing and business development financials.
· Product Roadmap – Developing and driving product
roadmap and product content.
· Corporate Programs - Collaborating with other divisional
and/or corporate marketing teams to contribute to the development
and implementation of company marketing strategies and practices.
· Business Team Leadership – Building, managing and
leading a motivated successful group of professionals.
· Marketing Programs - Collaborating with other divisional
and/or corporate marketing teams to contribute to the development
and implementation of company marketing strategies and practices.
· Team Leadership – Building, managing and leading
an energetic, motivated successful group of marketing professionals.
· Marketing Programs - Through individual contribution and
subordinate managers, directing the development of all marketing
programs, which reflect the strategic direction and desired public
image for product line.
· Sales – Driving sound and unique demand creation
strategies. Work closely with the sales organization to strengthen
and evaluate key selling strategies. Responsible for market research
and sales data analysis to ensure business maximization.
· Product Promotion - Contributing to the formulation of
a division public image and branding through defined marketing concepts.
· Member of Executive Staff – Work as a key strategic
contributor regarding overall product plans for products and activities.
THE PERSON:
The ideal individual for this position will be a proven, senior
business executive with an exceptional track record of driving revenue
and growth for premiere software products. Ideally her/his expertise
will include a combination of product management, product marketing
and business development experience and possess the following:
Required:
· 10 to 15 years marketing and/or product management experience
in a high technology business with 8+ years in management.
· Must have been responsible for a product line or multiple
product lines with revenue in the excess of 400M
· Must have been responsible for budgets in the 5+M range
· Proven experience setting, driving and executing on strategies
and priorities for a line of business.
· Exceptional leadership skills – forming senior level
professionals into high performing teams.
· Previous exposure to marketing software products. Knowledge
of channels is a plus.
· Strong P&L capabilities.
· Solid influencing skills.
· Ability to recognize product interdependencies and work
effectively across an organization communicating product values
and potentials.
· Experience working in a global organization and solid international
marketing experience.
· Mechanical engineering study, experience or education a
plus.
· Strong influence and presentation skills desired.

who understands and appreciates value – creating, delivering
and growing it.
Education: An undergraduate degree
in a related field from a respected university, combined with an
MBA is highly desirable, but not required. Relevant combination
of outbound and inbound marketing experience is key.
Travel: Up to 20 to 30% possible. Mostly domestic
travel, some international.
Relocation: Will be provided as needed.
